 What is Travel Ball?

 Age-based Rock Ridge team (e.g., 9u, 10u, 11u) playing in 3-4 tournaments per season. - It is in addition to the Minis/Minors/Majors leagues. -

Why should my kid play Travel Ball?

Helps with player development. - Higher level of play than in-house leagues. - Different rules depending on the tournament. - Kids often enjoy it and parents typically ask for more tournaments by season’s end.

Time commitment for Travel Ball?

 3-4 tournaments per season, within an hour of Rock Ridge area (e.g., Duluth, Hibbing, Proctor, Cloquet). - Tournaments are on weekends. - Additional games/tournaments only if there's interest.

No weekday games until after regular league season.

1-2 practices per week, rarely on weekends. -

Are there tryouts?

Yes, tryouts are required.

No limit on the number of teams; multiple teams can be formed if needed.

Is there an additional cost?

Yes, about $100 for tournament entry fees. -

Jerseys?

RRYB provides uniforms, but they must be returned at the end of the year.

What if I have to miss a practice or game?

Attendance is encouraged, but understand that conflicts may occur.
